Panorex

Panorex

A panorex is imaging machinery that is capable of providing a full view of the upper and lower jaws, teeth, temporomandibular joints and sinuses. It helps identify many issues and structures that a normal X-ray can not. Initially, the patient will sit in a chair with their chin on a small ledge. The panorex will then rotate around the patient’s entire head taking a 360-degree view of the teeth, head, sinuses and bones. The ability to view the full structure of the head as a whole is very informative to the dentist. It will allow us to see any potential problems and make sure everything is functioning as it should. The panorex also is capable of viewing specific types of structural problems and infections.
